Walk Down Memory Lane Visit

My sisters and brother-in-law were here for a wonderful week-long visit.

Kathy is in the middle, Cheryl on the right. Aren't they beautiful!!

Kathy came from California.

Cheryl and John came from Virginia.

They, Rich and I would leave the next day for a walk-down-memory-lane trip to the Iowan town where we three girls were born and lived until our move to California in 1956. Rich has been there on several occasions but John never has.

Sunday morning we went to Brett's church. It was such a joy to have them hear Brett preach. Following that, Brett, Esther and girls came for Sunday dinner. We spent a GORGEOUS Sunday afternoon on the deck. All of us had not been together since Jeremy and Renee's wedding in 2007! What a great time we had with lots of laughing, memories and plain ole' quality time!

Aunt Cheryl brought presents for the girls. They saw the gift bags and kept asking me what was is them. "I don't know" - not a lie. They when they could stand it no longer, Isabel piped up with, "Audrey wants the dolphin!" They had peeked. As my mom would say, "those little scoots!" Anyway, cute little boxes with a necklace inside. Princess crown for Moira, dolphin for Audrey, fish for Isabel and a butterfly for Maeve. Ohhhh! So cute.

Long ago Kathy gave me the wind chime hanging in the pot of geraniums. The inscription says, "We laugh, we cry. We make time fly. My sisters and I, best friends are we." Couldn't be more true!

Thank you hugs from everyone made Aunt Cheryl a happy auntie!

Our visit was off to a roaring start. We would leave the next morning for Iowa.
