Last night was Taste of Newton. It's a yearly street faire held in conjunction with the Bethel College Fall Fest. Main Street is blocked off for several blocks and service organizations of every type set up food booths and trailers. It's definitely a "grazing" meal!
Last night was a lovely evening, perfect weather.
Rich was there at 3pm setting up the booth for the Newton Community Children's Choir (who sold Puppy Chow, a sweet nibbley treat for humans and homemade cinnamon rolls) and then we returned about 5pm to walk, eat, and greet. Stayed until 9pm when the event was over and booth torn down.
This year Audrey is singing in the choir. There are about 50 voices in choir this year and so they sounded pretty good. It's tricky to mic outside, but the kids did well.
Waiting for choir to begin - Isabel and Maeve enjoying their cotton candy.
And just how do you eat cotton candy???? Maeve likes the method of sticking both hands in the bag, pulling them out, patting them together and then licking away. Sticky, icky! :)
A fun night, but our feet were very TIRED and SORE, lots of slow walking!
