Good-bye summer with all its wretched heat!!! Welcome glorious days of warm sunshine and cool breezes, bright colors and yummy smells! Anyone for a pumpkin pie?!?!
Autumn also means the beginning of Bible study and Mom2Mom. Bible study actually began a couple of weeks ago. This year we are doing a Beth Moore study, "DAVID, Seeking a Heart Like His". It's really good, but I'm ALREADY behind! Oh how I hate when that happens!
For Mom2Mom (M2M), we are basing our teaching on a book by Susie Larson, "Growing Grateful Kids: Finding an Extraordinary God in Ordinary Places". Very quickly the author makes the point that before we can teach gratefulness to our children we must first have a grateful heart ourselves. This book is great for women of all stages of life. At the end of each chapter there are applications for moms who are still raising children, as well as life applications for women no matter our age. It's all about leaving a legacy of gratitude for our children.
Our little maple tree in the front yard is finally getting mature enough so that the leaves actually show some fall color! Loving it!
And then a little bit of fall color in a flower bed.
For everything there is a season ... praise be to God!
