Newport Beach

What a gorgeous place!! Our weekend with Jeff & Caroline and Jeremy & Renee and then our full week were spent at Marriott's timeshare,
Newport Coast Villas. Such a lovely property!

Looking straight ahead from the fountain was the Pacific Ocean. Don't think we've seen it more beautiful! I worked out in the Fitness Center several mornings. It overlooked the pool which overlooked the ocean. What a view!! Not like anything at the Newton Rec Center!

With our kids, we just "hung out" and relaxed. The guys tried out the putting green while we girls watched.

The coastal climate is fabulous for growing gorgeous flowers! The Bird-of-Paradise were especially bright!

Crystal Cove Shake Shack - YUMMY! Sandwiches were delicious, shake for me and malt for Rich - DELICIOUS - and what a lunchtime view! It was situated on a cliff, right on Pacific Coast Highway!

My sister, Kathy, and Rich's cousin, Shari, also joined us during the week. More gorgeous photos to come!

Hello Everyone!

We had a marvelous trip to California. Were gone nearly a month! This past week has been a lot of catching up and cleaning up and getting ready for the next adventure.

Quick update on Rich....he is still dealing with a whacky body chemistry - still trying to get meds regulated. Not having a thyroid is a difficult thing! He gets pretty pooped in the afternoons, especially, but he has a great spirit and tries to NOT let it hold him back.

Going to CA, we took I-70 through Denver, Grand Junction, Las Vegas and then into Moorpark, where we stayed with Jeremy and Renee. The first weekend we spent in Newport Beach with Jeff & Caroline and Jeremy and Renee. It was wonderful just hanging out with them. Then it was back to Moorpark where we made our "home base". We had great visits with friends in Newbury Park and family before going back to Newport Beach for another whole week. Back to Moorpark and a weekend over Mother's Day and then it was back to Kansas. Whew! It was good to go and good to get home!

We always enjoy stopping in Georgetown, CO, just west of Denver. There are always lots of fun things to look at and purchase. Rich picked up this sporty cap. A new look for him!

The Utah landscape was just gorgeous. The sandstone formations are breathtaking!

Stay tuned for more!

Thanks for keeping us in your prayers! We would especially appreciate your prayers for improvement in Rich's energy level. He would like to feel a little more "spry"!
